October 31 - Conference successfully closed
The 6th International Conference and Exhibition on 3D Body Scanning Technologies was successfully closed in Lugano on the evening of 28th October 2015.
221 participants from 35 different countries attended/visited the two days conference and exhibition in Lugano, Switzerland. All the continents were represented.
The conference started with an opening session with the presentations and announcements of world and international premieres from 9 manufacturers.
The very dense program included 14 technical sessions, with about 60 technical and scientific presentations. The topics discussed regarded: medical scanning systems, medical applications, body scanning for apparel, body scanning systems, applications in health & sport, digital anthropometry, rgb-d sensors & low cost systems, scanning methods & technologies, anthropometric studies & surveys, body modeling & avatars, and others.
The conference was accompanied by an exhibition where 15 manufactures were presenting and demonstrating their body scanning systems and/or software solutions. The major technologies were represented: laser scanning, white-light scanning, active photogrammetry, depth sensor based scanning, application software. The application sectors were also various, from apparel to medicine, from entertainment to anthropometry and others.
Nine manufacturers have chosen this event to announce/launch/present/demonstrate for the first time worldwide publically twelve new developments, new products, new solutions, new results.
The conference confirmed also this year to be the most important international event focused on 3D body scanning technologies.

The program of the conference will be structured, during two full days, in an opening session and 14 technical sessions in dual track, accommodating in total 60-70 scientific and technical presentations, grouped according to various topics and application areas.
The parallel technical exhibition will allow manufacturers of scanning equipment to demonstrate live their products and solutions to all attendees/visitors/participants: exhibition.
Breaks and social events are planned in order to increase the possibilities for building relationships and exchanging ideas between attendees, visitors, authors, participants and exhibitors.

Submission of abstracts is now closed and the preliminary conference program is being prepared.
The number of received abstracts (over 60) is over our expectations. The 5th International Conference on 3D Body Scanning Technologies promises therefore to be a very successful event during two intensive days and with a rich program of 14 technical sessions, with interesting presentations and live demonstrations of equipment.
The relevant main sectors of 3D body scanning will be covered: face and body scanning for medicine, body scanning for fashion and apparel, digital anthropometry and body size measurement campaigns, body scanning for 3D printing, new body scanning systems and technologies, low cost body scanning with depth sensors, and more.

October 23, 2014 - 3DBST 2014 Conference successfully closed
The 5th International Conference and Exhibition on 3D Body Scanning Technologies was successfully closed in Lugano on the evening of 22nd October 2014.
251 participants from 31 different countries attended/visited the two days conference and exhibition in Lugano, Switzerland.
The conference started with an opening session with the presentations and announcements of 11 world and international premieres from 7 manufacturers.
The very dense program included 14 technical sessions, with over 60 technical and scientific presentations. The topics discussed regarded: medical scanning systems, medical applications, full body scanning, scanning systems & technologies, body scanning for apparel, digital anthropometry, size surveys, 3D printing, depth camera based scanning and others.
The conference was accompanied by an exhibition where 14 manufactures were presenting and demonstrating their body scanning systems and/or software solutions. The major technologies were represented: laser scanning, white-light scanning, active photogrammetry, depth sensor based scanning, application software. The application sectors were also various, from apparel to medicine, from entertainment to anthropometry and others.
Eight manufacturers have chosen this event to announce/launch/present/demonstrate for the first time worldwide publically twelve new developments, new products, new solutions, new results.
The conference confirmed also this year to be the most important international event focused on 3D body scanning technologies.
