The program of the conference is structured, during two full days, in an opening session and 14 technical sessions in dual track, accommodating in total over 70 scientific and technical presentations, grouped according to various topics and application areas.

The parallel technical exhibition will allow manufacturers of scanning equipment and software solutions to demonstrate live their products and solutions to all attendees/visitors/participants: exhibition.

Breaks and social events are planned in order to increase the possibilities for building relationships and exchanging ideas between attendees, visitors, authors, participants and exhibitors.
Coffee breaks will take place in the morning and afternoon, lunch boxes will be distributed to all attendees during lunch breaks and a rich welcome cocktail will be offered after the last session of the first day of the conference.

Preview - Opening Session & Technical Exhibition

During the opening sessions, manufacturers participating at the technical exhibition will shortly announce and present their new developments, new products, new solutions, new results.
At the technical exhibition that takes place in parallel to the conference, manufacturers, developers and solution providers demonstrate live 3D/4D face, body, foot scanning systems, software solutions and applications. The attendees have the possibility to test live the systems and to meet and discuss directly with the exhibitors: technical exhibition.

Private firms, universities and research institutions will present innovations and research works at the conference, as well as, manufacturers and solution providers will present their 3D scanning systems, solutions and applications in 14 technical session:
- over 70 technical and scientific presentations
- 4 technical sessions on 3D/4D face, body, foot scanning
- 3 technical sessions on applications in medicine and health
- 3 technical sessions on solutions and applications for apparel

Technical Session 2 - 3D Body Scanning System I

Size Stream (USA) will present its latest 3D body scanning and measurement solutions. Mr Medendorp, co-founder of Scanologics (The Netherlands), will present the ScanLounge body scanner for sizing. Mr Luong, CEO of BodyData (USA), will present and demonstrate live the new hand-held body scanner that allows to capture the shape of a fully dressed person. Ms Koo, CEO of Twinster (Austria), will showcase the automatic body measurement by 3D body scanning and mobile phone app. Mr Lane, CEO of 3dMD (USA/UK), will talk about dense 4D capture of the human body.

Technical Session 3 - 3D Face & Body Scanning in Medicine

Ms Mills, CEO of MirrorMe3D (USA), will discuss about why 3D matters for the patient journey. The Mechatronics Faculty of the Warsaw University of Technology (Poland) will present a novel 4D whole body scanning solution and its medical applications. Dr Zou, clinical scientist at the Bioengineering Center of Bart's and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, will present his paper on challenges with life surface imaging. Dr Markey, Professor at the University of Texas at Austin and at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (USA), will present her research work on potential of 3D surface imaging for quantitative analysis of fat grafting.

Technical Session 4 - 3D Body Scanning Systems II

Mr Hakimi, CEO and co-founder of Photuro3D (Israel), will present the recently launched 3D full body scanning solution. Mr Rybarczyk, general manager at botspot (Germany), will present bostpot's 3D full body scanning systems based on photogrammetry. Mr Negry, CBO at Mantis Vision (Israel), will discuss the challenges of volumetric content live broadcasting and present market use cases.

Technical Session 5 - 3D Body Scanning & Applications

Dr Urquhart, CEO of Dimensional Imaging (UK), will present DI4D's systems for 3D & 4D facial capture based on passive stereo photogrammetry. Dr Hoefling, president and CEO of ViALUX (Germany), will present and discuss ViALUX sensor design for high-quality 3D full body scanning. Ms Hassmann, researcher at the Institute of Sport Sciences or the University of Vienna and Dr Krach, CEO of CAE Simulation & Solutions (Austria), will present their paper on scanning procedure of female torso using low-cost hand-held Sense scanner of 3D Systems. Mr Babin, CEO of TechMed 3D (Canada), will present systems, solutions and applications on 3D scanning of the human body.

Technical Session 6 - 3D Body Scanning for Apparel I

Mr Botzenhardt, project & product manager of Avalution (Germany), will talk about the optimization of clothing processes in companies and institutions by the help of body scanning. The Hohenstein Institute for Textile Innovation (Germany) will discuss the three-dimensional quantification of shaping effects of foundation garments that aims to smooth obvious subcutaneous fat. Dr Psikuta, scientist on Biomimetic Membranes and Textiles at EMPA (Switzerland), will talk about the air gap thickness and the contact area of garments during alpine skiing. The Faculty of Textile Technology of the University of Zagreb (Croatia) will present their work on clothing pattern design starting from the volumetric analysis of the human body.

Technical Session 8 - Full Body Scanning, Measurement & AI

Mr Moore, CEO of Fit3D (USA), will explain how the recently launched platform BodyBlock AI is helping Tier 1 clothing brands change their approach to design and eCommerce in order to reduce returns and increase customer satisfaction. Dr Makeev, CTO of 3D LOOK (USA), will present their technologies and methods to obtain human body measurements from single images. Dr Goonatilake, CEO of Bodymetrics (UK) and visiting professor at UCL (UK), will talk about applying deep-learning to reconstruct accurate 3D body maps using mobile phones. Dr West, assistant professor in the Textile and Apparel, Technology and Management Department at the North Carolina State University (UK), will present his paper on acquiring body measurements on a smartphone for online apparel purchasing platforms. Mr Ballester, researcher at IBV (Spain), will present the study on reliability and compatibility of body measurements from 1D, 2D & 3D inputs.

Technical Session 10 - Full Body Scanning & Processing

Mr Gribbin, senior adviser of Alvanon (USA), will talk on consumer attitudes and acceptance of 3D scanning solutions in apparel. Prof Pai, director of the Sensorimotor Lab of the University of British Columbia and CEO of Vital Mechanics (Canada), will present his paper on fitting close-to-body garments with 3D soft body avatars. Mr Lane, CEO of 3dMD (UK/USA), will speak about intelligent harvesting of high-precision 4D data of human subjects in a personalized digital economy. Ms McDonald, co-owner of Gneiss Concept (USA), will present the working group progress for IEEE P3141 standard for 3D body processing. Size Stream (USA) will also held a presentation in this session.

Technical Session 11 - 3D Body Scanning in Health & Sport

Dr Schueler, researcher at the Institute of Applied Training Science of the Leipzig University (Germany), will talk about using 3D body scanning in elite sports. The Department of Computer Science of the University of Verona (Italy) will present research work on using artificial intelligence for estimating body fat from depth images. Other presentations on 3D body scanning in health & sport are included in this 2 hours long session.

Technical Session 12 - 3D Body Scanning for Apparel II

Dr Ernst, Professor of Textile Product Development at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences (Germany) will present his paper on virtual garment fit evaluation infrastructure for MtM applications. Mr Close, CEO of Bespokify (Singapore), will talk about making bespoke apparel mainstream. Ms Scott, owner of Fashion Should Empower (Canada), will present her paper on landmarking and measuring for critical body shapes analysis targeting garment fit. Dr Gill, lecturer in fashion technology at the University of Manchester (UK), will present research work on how body scanning can help transform traditional methods of creating pattern blocks. Mr Gertsch, CEO of Gertsch Consulting (Switzerland), will close the session with his talk on digitization of CAD-processes from the e-commerce to the marker.

Technical Session 14 - Anthropometric Surveys & Studies

Dr Jurca, VP footwear research at Volumental (Sweden), will present the paper about the analysis of 1 million 3D foot scans from North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Mr Guenzel, Manager Body Scanning at Human Solutions of North America (USA), will present Avalytics Portal, a new access point for anthropometric data. CITEVE, the technological center of the textile and apparel industries of Portugal, will present the anthropometric study of the Portuguese population for the improvement of size tables. Dr Wang, Professor at the School of Design of Hunan University (China), will present the 3D digital anthropometric study on Chinese head and face.
